Divest SC from Israeli Bonds
South Carolina has invested $150 million of our tax dollars in Israeli bonds — making our state complicit in apartheid, occupation, and genocide. State Treasurer Curtis Loftis personally directed these investments, including a $30 million purchase in November 2023 that he openly framed as political solidarity with Israel during its genocide in Gaza. We're organizing a phone banking and research campaign to pressure him to divest.
A Bad Investment — By Every Measure
These bonds aren't just immoral — they're losing money. Israel's economy has been in decline since October 2023 and the new Iran war is making it worse.
Minnesota lost over $830,000 on their Israeli bond holdings and has largely divested. (Oct 2025)
South Carolina taxpayers deserve better.

Why Now?
Treasurer Loftis is up for re-election in 2026 — and he has serious questions to answer. The SC Senate voted 33–8 in April 2025 to remove him from office over a $1.8 billion accounting error that went unreported for nearly a decade. Meanwhile, he put $150 million of our tax dollars into bonds that every major credit agency has downgraded. This isn't a left or right issue — it's about whether our state treasurer is making responsible decisions with South Carolina's money.
It's Already Working
Voters in North Carolina, Michigan, and Minnesota have all successfully pushed their states to divest from Israeli bonds — a combined $27 million pulled out. The reason was simple: the bonds are a bad investment, and taxpayers shouldn't be on the hook for it. If they can do it, so can we.
Volunteer With Us
We need volunteers to help with this campaign. No experience necessary — just a willingness to show up and speak out.
Phone Outreach
Help us call thousands of voters across South Carolina and tell them what's being done with their tax dollars — so they'll call the State Treasurer's office and demand divestment.
Public Advocacy
Spread the word in your community, attend public meetings, and champion the cause of divestment.
