The money goes the other way, too

South Carolina sends our own public dollars to Israel. The State Treasurer has put more than $155 million of state funds into Israeli government bonds since 2011, including a $30 million purchase in November 2023, weeks into the genocide on Gaza, which the Treasurer publicly framed as a show of solidarity.
